Sam and Ben, the co-owners

Sam and Ben are French pastry chefs. They studied the beautiful art of patisserie in France before moving to London. They lived and worked there for 3 years until they visited Newquay, in Cornwall and fell in love with its town, its incredible scenery and its lovely community. They decided to open their own patisserie here, early 2017. 

From the creation of Choukette, they worked hard in the kitchen and in the shop to bring a bit of France to Newquay, and making their dream come true by offering a tasty range of pastries, macarons, desserts and confectionery. They also make celebrations cakes and wedding cakes.

Thanks to their team effort and passion, over the past 5 years, Choukette hasn’t stop growing, offering their delicious treats in many independent café and restaurant in town and the surrounding area. With the creation of the new kitchen, they are now spending even more time baking and creating new delicious patisseries, and have welcomed 2 amazing new team members  to the team!

Niki, our Lovely bubbly waitress

Niki loves wearing pink, ‘sausage dogs’, and crochet. She likes packaging our delicious chocolate and confectionery.
